-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
To try out a custom help screen for menu entry A1 in menu file zero, rename
this file to A1.000. It will then pop up when F1 is pressed and the cursor
is on user menu entry 1 of page A in menu file 0 (HDM.000). You can have a
file set up for each menu entry in all the menu files that you use as long
as you stick to this naming convention. HDM will look for these files in
the same directory as menu files. This will be the directory path set in
the -0 to -9 startup switches, the -T switch, or the HDM default directory.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
To create a help screen for a different menu entry in a different menu file,
copy or rename A1DEMO.000 to R5.123. The file R5.123 must then be in the
same directory as the menu file HDM.123. It will be displayed when the user
is in menu file 123 on page R with the cursor highlighting entry number 5
and the <F1> key is pressed. For additional HDM customization see the file
HELPDEMO.000 for general help for one menu file, HELPDEMO.HDM for a custom
help system page, and HDMDEMO.HDR for a custom logo screen.
Starting with HDM version 4.62 you can use a more descriptive help file
name that will stay with the menu entry when it is moved to a different
entry, page, or menu file. When you add or change a menu entry, a new
field is displayed that requests an optional help file name. So instead
of using A1.000, the file name can be something like LOTUS123.HLP, but
the help file must still reside in the same directory as the menu file.
